Built by someone who grew up in the clinic

Hi, I’m Mart Visser — founder and engineer of Zoravet.

I grew up around a veterinary clinic. From the age of fifteen I worked in my mum’s practice: first as administrative help, then assisting around the clinic, and before long fixing whatever computer, printer or cable had stopped cooperating. I saw early how much good care depends on software that just works — and how often it doesn’t.

Later I moved into ethical hacking, and then spent years as a platform and software engineer building secure identity and credential-management software for universities, hospitals and government — places where reliability isn’t optional.

Zoravet started with my mum again. Over the years she kept showing me the same frustrations: software that was slow, missing what she needed, clumsy to use, and expensive. I was convinced it could be far better, so I decided to build it.

I focus on independent, single-location clinics, because the big vendors don’t. Their attention goes to the large franchise contracts; the small practices that carry everyday animal care get overlooked. I think that’s the wrong way round.

I run Zoravet independently — everything hosted in Europe, no investors, no outside pressure. That means I answer to one group only: the clinics using it. I handle most of the customer contact myself.

The goal is simple: a platform every practice can actually use, that quietly handles as much of the busywork as possible, so your team can focus on veterinary medicine instead of the system in front of them.
